Jimmy SA founded the first Salsa club in Abu Dhabi and introduced Rueda to the city, was Abu Dhabi lead instructor, taught classes in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, organized various events bringing world famous artists to the region and collaborated with Desert beat in Dubai Salsa Cup for 4 years. He was awarded the National Award for promoting Salsa in Emirates in Dubai Salsa Cup 2005
In UK, Jimmy started the Latin Connection, was lead instructor for Newcastle University Salsa Society, plus choreographed their student team shows for 3 years. He organizes the popular Teesside Festivals and currently teaches and performs with the Latin Connection regionally, Nationally in UK major congresses and International congresses including Cyprus International festival, Malta World congress, Scotland, Salsa Kingdom, Carthago festivals, World Salsa Festival, Abu Dhabi International, EL Grande London, Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Dubai among a few.
Latin Connection dance team is the largest and most successful in the region and have been voted Top UK newcomer in UK Salsa Awards and performed all over the UK and abroad
Jimmy's passion and energy, strong technique, experience and easy explanation in classes have influenced and inspired generations of new dancers and his classes have always produced successful dancers, teachers and performers accross the region and in his classes
In 2011 Jimmy was awarded Top Regional UK instructor. Latin Connection Salsa School has been awarded for outstanding achievement to community in UK Latin Awards 2013 (LUKAS) as Runner up – Salsa School of the year
His aim is that people like and enjoy salsa and have loads of fun whatever their style or level.... Its not just about salsa he says, its the way we live life.. We love dancing and will do it every day if we can!
