Why

Launched for the first time in 2009, Teesside Festival is the first ever of its kind in the North East and has attracted 400 plus attendees from all over the Uk and abroad..  After the huge Success of the previous 2 Teesside Festivals, an even Bigger Teesside Festival X 3 is brought to you by Teesside Uni and The Latin Connection .. 

Making history, Teesside university has been awarded 'University of the year' and 'Outstanding Employer engagement Initiative' in the Times Higher education award 2009. .The Latin Connection are currently firmly established in the Latin Dance Scene and through its founder has organized successful events in UK, Abu Dhabi , Dubai for a nearly decade and have been awarded 'promoting Latin dance in Emirates' Dubai Salsa Cup 2005,  Abu Dhabi 'Award of Recognition 2008 and runner up UK Salsa Central awards 2009 - the latter for their dance team.

Teesside Festival serves to showcase the North East and Teesside in organizing a dance event attracting the creme of the north East artists and showcasing internationally renown artists... This year artists include those from UK, US, Colombia, Peru, Cuba, Costa Rica, Spain, Brazil, Italy and many more, and also features artists that featured in Strictly come dancing (BBC) 2009-2010 and UK latin dance champions..

This is the third Festival , not only the scale is unprecedented in the North East, but we are expecting this time to go rocket high with the official support from TV and North East councils and more to be announced!  Enjoy workshops during day by Newcastle, North East finest as well as Internationally renowned artists from UK, Europe, USA, Latin America in an entire day of workshops, shows and a fantastic party night.. this time untill 3:00am.
