Launched
for the first time in 2009, Teesside festival is the first ever of its
caliber in the North East and has attracted dancers and artists from
all over the UK and abroad.. After 3 very successful festivals,
Teesside festival IV returns on 31 March 2011. Currently one of the
biggest in the UK of this kind and was Awarded Runner up UK Special
Event in the latest awards!

Festivals are Organised by Latin Connection - leading North East based
Latin Dance company, organizing events in North East UK, and previously
via its founder in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for many years...The venue is
the unbeatable Teesside Uni Student Union - Award winning best Venue By
Best Bar None Awards, and its not hard to see why!
Making history, Teesside university has
been awarded 'University of the year'
and 'Outstanding Employer engagement Initiative' in the Times
Higher education award
2009.
.The Latin Connection are currently firmly
established in the Latin Dance Scene and through its founder
has organized successful events in UK, Abu Dhabi , Dubai for a nearly decade and have been
awarded 'promoting Latin dance in Emirates' Dubai
Salsa Cup 2005, Abu Dhabi 'Award of
Recognition 2008 and runner up New comer in awards

the latter for their dance
team. in 2010/11 Teesside Festival was awarded Runner up UK special Event.
Teesside
Festival serves to showcase the North East Talent and Teesside in
organizing a dance event attracting the creme of the north East artists
and showcasing internationally renown artists.. With Four Function rooms holding the workshops, more than 500
attending last year's event, the incredible feedback and support we had on the
workshops and parties and shows, we intend to work even harder to bring
an even bigger and better festival this time!
We take pride in our
very affordable prices and high quality Event and artists. Its unlikely
you can find an event with these Artists, Shows and Workshops at this
price... and we intend to keep it this way!

This year In Teesside Festival IV, we will cater for all major styles and levels and that's what makes our Festival Special!
From total beginners to very advanced dancers and new this year some
master workshops, we will bring you a full scale and lots of depth in
Cuban Salsa, Rueda, Afro Cuban, Body movement/isolation, Ladies
styling, Son, Rumba, CBL Salsa on 1 and 2. Plus for keen dancers we
will include Bachata , Kizomba, Reggaeton, musicality and even tango!
We also will include this year a full beginners course in both Cuban and CBL salsa!
The
bottom line is we have included different style artists, Djs, Workshops
and party to make you have a great time and we guarantee this !

'' I have always thought outside the box. To me events are
about making everyone have a good time... My first ever reasonably
sized event, I had to organize was a fashion show...Oh, that was many years
ago, before I got hooked in Salsa!
I
thought I did well in preparing. I went ahead with the event. It was a
complete failure. From then I learnt, its not about what I want, its
about what people want. Listening to feedback no matter how small it
is, working on details, accepting critisizm no matter how hard it may
sound ..... importantly meeting expectations and making people have a
really good time.... I have gone a long way since then, but I am still
learning every day..
Successful
organizing is all about the 'people' that get 'organized' they are
the ones with the vision and its my role to make that vision a
reality.. and I am determined to work hard to fullfill that vision..''
